Design architect with 5 years’ experience and above

EOWON is looking for Design Architects (ARB/RIBA PART 2 or 3/PAM PART 2 or 3) (with emphasis on Commercial, Educational, High-Rise and Mixed-Use development Projects) for its Penang HQ, to work on an increasing volume of architecture, interior architecture & interior design projects in the Southern Region of Malaysia.

Job Scope

  • To work directly with Design Directors to develop memorable artificial intelligence (AI) and lifestyle experiences from highly conceptual design ideas.
  • Take up a leadership role and assume responsibility for all phases of design and presentations of up to 70 to 200 acres simultaneously
  • To approach design problems with a high level of rigour and analysis.
  • To create a detailed design of the entire massing & facade from material research and building technologies to the termination of details.
  • To present ideas persuasively to the Client and manage the overall schedule. To apply design intentions to Multi-Disciplines, e.g. artificial intelligence (AI), branding, graphics, landscape & lighting.
  • To work with the Technical Team to ensure that detailed construction drawings are completed to expected standards.
  • To manage the project through to completion via efficient project management.

Requirements

  • High proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, Rhino, Unreal Engine, 3D Max, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, SketchUp, Hand sketch (Revit/BIM & Unreal Engine is a plus).
  • Strong conceptual thinkers; Highly creative with experience in international practice a plus.
  • Rigorous with precise attention to detail.
  • Confident, clear and articulate in English & Bahasa Malaysia.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Marketing & Communications
  • At least 2 years of experience working in marketing communications or public relations, preferably in a creative environment or for an Architecture / Interior Design / Landscape Design / Property Developer / Real Estate / Construction fit-out company
  • Proven track record and ability to develop, implement and manage marketing communications strategy integrated with the firm’s vision and objectives
  • Strategic vision and ability to expand company outreach in multiple geographies
  • Experience with copywriting, writing or editing
  • Media, internet & social media savvy
  • Meticulous, adaptable and creative thinker

EOWON is looking for 2 Project Manager Interior Fit-Out (with emphasis on Hospitality Project) for its Penang HQ, to work on an increasing volume of interior architecture and interior design projects in the Northern Region of Malaysia.

Job Scope

  • Fully experienced with handling Interior Fitting Out construction & installation works such as guest rooms, restaurants, public area in a 5-star hotel/Serviced Residence.
  • Able to oversee & monitor a few projects of up to total MYR50 million simultaneously.
  • Knows contractual OBLIGATIONS & RIGHTS in all documents from the owner, consultant.
  • Comprehends drawings from architect, engineers & designer confidently.
  • Comprehends the contract between contractor and owner, and/or the MC
  • Plan and Setup Master Schedule for Projects.

Quantity surveyor - interior design fit out with 3 years’ experience and above

EOWON is looking for a Quantity Surveyor - Interior Design Fit Out (with emphasis on Hospitality, Residential, Workplace & Real Estate Sale Gallery Projects) for its Penang HQ, to work on an increasing volume of interior architecture and interior design projects in the Northern Region of Malaysia.

Job Scope

  • To lead and establishing a client’s requirements.
  • Preparing bills of quantities by means of coordinating with all related parties (Design, Procurement and Finance), facilitate and manage all costing, pricing and analysis of direct and indirect cost for the BOQ items
  • Scrutinize, review of tender drawings/documents for discrepancies, additional BOQ items/scope and incorporating within the tender offer, liaise with consultant regarding ambiguities contract work scope and seek clarifications there to.
  • Visit Site as and when required to take measurements and monitor progress.
  • Analyze and compare quotations at bid stage.
  • Analyze and recommend subcontract payments based on actual progress and valuing completed work and issuing payments requests to finance.
  • Check and review the site requisitions and compare them with the approved Bill of Quantity (BOQ).
  • Submit and negotiate contract variations, additional works, snags and maintenance orders.
  • Preparing final accounts

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying / Interior Architecture / Interior Design /Architectural.
  • 3 years of relevant experience as Quantity Surveyor in Interior Joinery Fit out Projects.
