When Monitor ERP System, the Swedish Enterprise Resource Planning company decided to expand their reach to Asia, Eowon was tasked with the challenge of conceptualising a workplace that provides a sense of home and belonging, feels fun and encourages a collaborative spirit among its employees. Here’s what we did.
The 6,000 square feet head office is located in an office building that opens up to a waterfront setting. The open plan workplace comprises Directors’ rooms, meeting rooms and discussion areas, a well-equipped kitchenette, a chill-and-play area for adults and a children’s playroom.

Drawing from the Company’s origins in Sweden, Scandinavian aesthetics permeates every corner of this office in the form of a clean, minimalist design; simplicity that emphasises on functionality without sacrificing beauty. Natural elements and muted earthy colours are dominant and bring about a sense of serenity and cohesiveness to the space. To inject a bit of fun into an otherwise serious workplace, we introduced a series of houses with pitched roofs by the chill-and-play area for light meetings and discussions and created a distinctive pitched archway between the office and the kitchenette for a little adventure.
With views of the Andaman sea and the city, glass walls provide an unobstructed view of the entire office and beyond without compromising on privacy. They also allow for ample natural light to penetrate the interiors, reducing the need for artificial lighting.
We ensured that effective utilisation of the available floor space was optimised and a smooth flow of the layout starting from the entrance to the relevant departments according to their functions were also taken into consideration to facilitate in increasing productivity and efficiency.
Carefully curated furniture, lighting and plenty of lush greenery usher in an atmosphere that is both welcoming and rejuvenating. A touch of bright accents further enliven the spaces and offer a fresh perspective and playfulness that breaks out of the monotony of an office space.
